Meltdown DiY Art Studio is teaming up with Amy Latta, renowned craft blogger and hand lettering miracle-maker, for a “Letter Together” class! This class is designed for kids ages 8-15 years old to attend with a grown up (mom-grandmom-dad-aunt, etc.), however, there are a handful of tickets for adults registering individually. The class includes:
- A copy of Amy’s book, Express Yourself: A Hand Lettering Book for Kids! *
- Instruction & practice packets for each of you
- 8 x 10 canvas project for each of you
- Light snacks & beverages
Amy will start the class by teaching basic hand lettering skills. Her teaching methods are wonderful, and you’ll be amazed at the results after basic instruction and a bit of practice. The second half of the class will be used to take your newfound lettering skills to create an 8 x 10 canvas. It is helpful if you come with an idea of what you’d like to write on your canvas. We suggest you consider creating a “Word of Intent” canvas, where you write a word of intent for the coming new year. Words of Intent encourage you to focus on a goal, such as “Explore”, “Laugh”, “Inspire”, “Create”, “Achieve”, etc.
If you want to bring TWO kiddos with you to the event, you may purchase the “Additional CHILD ticket” for $45. This includes a 2nd copy of the book and a 2nd canvas. Note that this is an ADD ON, ONLY option for those who have purchased a ticket for two. Thanks!
*Amy’s first book, Hand Lettering for Relaxation will be provided for adults who register individually.
Amy will be SIGNING books during this event!! She will have some additional copies of Express Yourself, as well as copies of her first book, Hand Lettering for Relaxation for those who wish to purchase additional books. If you already own her book(s), please feel free to bring them along to have them signed.
NOTE: If you already own the book, you will receive a 2nd copy in this class. There is no discount option for those who already own the book. These books make great gifts! Plan to have Amy sign the new book for a friend. They’ll love it!
